Commonplace come spring or summertime (much like bangs in fall), I requested lighter locks last week from my adorable hair dresser…nothing crazy (yet), just more highlights on the ends for now. A dark brunette by nature, it’s important to provide my hair with some serious TLC when lightening. Since I passed on getting a trim this time around, she recommended I use a deep conditioner, Moroccan Oil specifically, after the dye set in.
As always, before I headed out to Ulta to shell out money for beauty products, I looked through my stash of swag (courtesy of my work relationship with CEW) and found a deep conditioner by Garnier – Sleek & Shine Frizz Defeat Deep Treatment. Slightly skeptical of using such a mass market brand for intense hair treatment, I gave it a whirl with a bit of hope and discovered my expectations were exceeded.
While I’m certain Moraccan Oil – which I do still intend to purchase in the future – would upstage my current results, Garnier’s Sleek & Shine Deep Treatment is definitely worth it when looking for more cost effective options.
